Nestled within the historic Admiral Prout Field House, our outdoor pool has been a summer staple for the National City community for decades. The facility features a full-sized outdoor swimming pool operated by the City of National City Parks and Recreation Department. Whether you're looking to swim laps, enjoy a casual dip, or watch children make summer memories, the pool provides a welcoming, low-key environment all season long.

What We Offer
Drop in and enjoy the pool during designated open swim hours. No registration required — just show up and swim. Families, solo swimmers, and groups all welcome.
Dedicated lap swim sessions for serious swimmers. A full-length outdoor lane provides space for continuous laps in warm, sunlit water.
Seasonal swim lessons and youth water safety programs taught by certified instructors. Building confidence in the water from an early age.
Special swim events, holiday gatherings, and community celebrations hosted throughout the season at the Field House pool.
